Transfer to San Fernando Government Secondary School.

Parents should check with our school to determine if there is a vacancy in the class and if the Principal of Modsec is willing to accept transfer students into the school. If so, then the parent must come into Modsec to collect a transfer form. This form needs to be fill out by the child's current school principal. Return signed form to Modsec for our principal to signed also. Subsequent to this, The child will be examined in several subject areas. If he/she passes the Examination then the transfer form will be forwarded to School Supervisor III for approval. If transfer is approved the child will be taken into Modsec at the beginning of the following term.

No child will be accepted who has a history of delinquent behavior or poor grades.

Transcript

The time taken to complete a transcript is as follows:

• 1962 to 1979 search will take 6 to 8 weeks.
• 1980 to 2000 search will take 4 to 6 weeks.
• 2000 to present search will take 3 weeks.

If you bring in your school report book the transcript will be completed in a shorter time period than shown above.

NCSE EXAMS

In keeping with the Ministry of Education's thrust to provide Quality Education for all, we have broadened the curriculum to include Music, Technology and Drama. Next Year Form 3 Students will sit an exam called NCSE which will provide them a certificate with which they can obtain Special jobs and which will provide them with the Qualifications to enter the World of Technology, Arts & Crafts etc. and with which they can access to other Tertiary Institution other than the University. Not all students prefer a purely Academic Career and the NCSE provides for these Students.
